Greens Zephyr 14" 10 blade push mower
Hi folks. Managed to put together the Zephyr mower that I acquired as a box of parts. Needs a chain cover and a Grass Box but hopefully I can source them somewhere. My first effort, hopefully it does'nt look too bad. Hoping to be at Milton Keynes next month so will bring it with me. Thanks to anyone who helped me out with questions I asked. Rob

Thanks Warpa. I did manage to
Thanks Warpa. I did manage to get a chain cover for the mower but sadly not a grass box. I no longer have the mower but enjoyed sorting it and using it a few times. Hope you find one. Cheers. Rob
What was it like to use?
What was it like to use? Looks great by the way.
Hi Triumph66. Gave a great
Hi Triumph66. Gave a great cut as you would expect having 10 blades. Quite a heavy mower from memory. Enjoyed using it. Strange but true, when I became interested in old push mowers being a Leeds United fan I had to get a mower that had a connection with Leeds..Thomas Green hit the spot!! Had a 12" 8 blade Zephyr and the 10 blade 14" Zephyr.
Now there is a coincidence!
Now there is a coincidence! I loosely watch the progress of Leicester City, as I live in Leicester, and ended up collecting JP's - also made in Leicester!

They made a 12 inch 8 blade?
They made a 12 inch 8 blade? Now that would be perfect for my lawn, but I'm guessing it's as rare as a certain hens teeth?
Hi Warpa. Not sure how rare
Hi Warpa. Not sure how rare they are however, since getting the one I had I have not seen another fo sale on the usual on line auction sites.
If you fancy an 12", 8 blade push mower and struggle to find the Zephyr model. I have a Webb Witch that is 12" with 8 blades and am more than happy with the results it gives.and in fact I see Clive G has one up for sale on E Bay at the moment. Cheers. Rob
Will have a punt on the webb
Will have a punt on the webb to give me something to do while I wait for a zephyr to turn up one day.
I've just seen this post
I've just seen this post while searching online for the same mower as my next restoration. It looks fantastic!
