Hello,

I'm having trouble getting the flywheel off my Villiers F12 sloper. Some tips? More force, heat, pounding?

I'm using this home made puller. See below.

They can be very tight. Your nice homemade puller is the way to go. Wind the centre bolt up ad tight as you can and then give it a sharp hit with a hammer, then tighten it again and repeat the hit. If that doesn’t work apply heat around the centre with a hot air gun while the puller is still under tension. Sometimes they let go as they cool down. Good idea to have the nut loose  in place to catch it if it pops off.
I made my puller in about 1980 using a Flymo blade bolt in the centre and a deep nut under the plate when the initial thread in the plate gave way . Still in service today !!

Thank you Wristpin. One puller and a m10 bolt later, the flywheel is off. I had to use a lot of force and both heat and hammer to get it off.
