BSA F12 / Amal 379 - Thickness of Felt Washer 384/015?

...Also noticed that my Amal 379 Carburettor has the Felt Washer (part 384/015) missing - this sits above the inner wire gauze and felt pad in the air cleaner, having removed the Amal top cover, and according to the Ransomes Operator's instructions manual you should "pour sufficient engine oil to just cover the felt washer".  Without the felt washer I do not know the correct level...I can make a replacement washer, but does anyone know the correct thickness for it please?

About 3/16 “ . As you may have found out, they are no longer available but Ransomes felt washer part number 650000134 /  GSF3571 EC. Is more or less of the right inner and outer dimensions and may be peeled apart to make two.

Have ordered the felt washer (to pare down to 3/16" thick) from obsoleteransomesparts.co.uk along with new bottom blade and fixing screws.
