Could anyone help with any info on an Allett 36'' Mk5 I have acquired. It has Kohler engine.
Please see photos with the serial no details.

In particular I would like to obtain:

The recommendation for

The recommendation for Duckhams Q oil and appearance of the machine would date it to the 70s, could it be that the serial number '72504' means that it was the 504th one built in 1972 ? Not sure if you can still get Duckhams Q, but it doesn't matter, you should be putting SAE30 oil in the engine, that is what Kohler recommended.

I never worked much on Allett mowers and the only 36" I worked on was a much earlier version that was fitted with a Reliant engine and gearbox.

I think that was the first mower that they made and was possibly the first walk behind  with “ power steering” .

Have you tried talking to Turfmech , the present owners of the Allett brand? Being a comparatively young brand I think that there’s a fair chance that they have all the information that you are looking for.

Looks like some other possibly interesting machinery in the background of your first image ?

Correction.  Turfmech have changed their trading name to Allett Ltd.

Many thx Angus (Wristpin).

Many thx Angus (Wristpin). That's a good suggestion to contact Allett. You have a keen eye Re the background photo comment , it's an old 20" Atco I had also posted a request for some info on it a while ago  , I think you had thought it was a Club or Royale. Thx again .
